We identified a change in Microsoft Teams display-name validation behavior that began affecting a very limited subset of Notetaker joins in the US region today.
We have deployed and validated a fix that normalizes affected Notetaker display names before joining Microsoft Teams meetings. Our testing and monitoring confirm that affected Notetakers are now joining successfully and that customer impact has been resolved.
The EU region and other supported meeting providers were not affected.
